Activity ObjectiveTo become familiar with scholarly articles and research topics in professional journals in the field of teaching English.
Activity DescriptionEach candidate in the class will investigate effective strategies for teaching of young adult literature in K-12 classroom settings and submit written responses to the instructor by the date listed on the course website under the ¡°calendar¡± button. A minimum of 3 strategies must strategies effective for the teaching of English language learners in the language arts classroom. Candidates will share reactions to the readings in small group discussions followed by a session in which each small group reports out to the whole class. This strategy is called ¡°small group share/whole group share¡±.
